ORIGINAL: Boozshey

Yeah, Eibach Pro's here as well... Let me know what you come up with. But mine was making the sound even before the Eibachs...
Well as I figured, it's load-dependent; it wouldn't make the creaking sound when I turned the wheels while they're basically hanging (front end on jack stands). About the only thing visually that got my attention was in these pics:

Not sure how many of you know this (I didn't), but as you turn the wheels, the entire strut/spring assembly rotates as well. In the pics, look at the isolator near the bottom of the spring - notice that it's not in the perch where it should be - is this due to the it "riding" up over time? If so, this gives you metal-to-metal contact which just might be the culprit of the creaking sound. And since Boozshey said he noticed it before he installed the Eibachs, it also could be those wonderful stock strut bearings. If it is the isolator being out of place, I wonder if some sort of adhesive would keep it in place....or maybe a tie wrap at the upper-most end of it to keep it from riding up...just kind of thinking out loud... Also, I'd be interested in seeing pics of some of your (anyone really) strut/spring.

Who knows - it certainly wouldn't hurt anything. I'll keep you posted though since I just came in from doing just that [8D]

good work MTAS! I'm guessing that is the culprit for me, because the creaking sound is on and off at times.
