Also FYI, if you have a set of gears out of the car that you are trying to get the number on, all you have to do is count the splines on the shaft, then the splines on the round part, then divide the big number by the little number

Ex.
10 on the shaft
41 on the gear
= 4.10

With my 3.31s I'm right around 75mph at 2k rpms...
No way! I'm pretty sure my car turns 2k at 60 mph, and 3k at 100 mph EXACTLY!!!
if its an 05 auto you should have the 3.31

my 06 auto has 3.31 per the door sticker

prior to 07 the 3.55 was standard on the sticks and 3.31 standard on the auto

after 07 they both got 3.31 but with an option for the stick to upgrade to 3.55

BTW, if someone has changed the gears, hopefully they changed the tag on the rear differential. Or at least written the new gear # on it with a grease pen.

just note yourspeed at say 2K RPM in 5thand match it to a gear chart. I dont recall the link but if u search for it you can find a chart for 3.55 ratio/4.10 ratio/3.73 ratio and the other stock config.

Hope that helps as an alternate to knowing

At 2000 I'm running 55mph. I have 4:10s. At 3000 85 mph. At 4000 I don't know I'm watching the road for cops and people a course to avoid an accident. To be honest there is times now I wish I had stay with the 3;55s'. Though quicker the gas being the price it is I'm almost willing to go back being a hair slower. Top end I don't drive because I lose my job if I lose my license.

that's why I never get why the big deal to make so many cars faster.

How many are getting paid to drive 12 second Mustang?

I guess bragging rights have a high cost.

I thought GT/CSs all came with 3.31s. I thought they were just GTs with fancy bumpers and interior.
