Why not just throw a 5.4 in your current car?

Just rip off you spoiler and get some emblems and you've got yourself a bullit. Even if you took Jay's idea and drop in a new one it would save you money, and I'd would be way more fun to do it yourself. You could sell it for more too once the 500 time came and see where you are.

I don't think he planned on keeping both. I sort of gathered that he wanted to buy one or the other.

I'd say buy a Roush 427R, 4288R or Stage3 now. GT500's 10,000 built per year (I think) and dealer "bump" stickers - not worth it to me. Roush - just a handful made, 435hp with a 3 year warranty and can be purchased with nice discounts. The Bullitt doesn't do anything for me.

CHASSIS

• Stock Mustang GT shocks and struts were swapped out for new units that allowed engineers
to dial in a more aggressive driving dynamic while still maintaining outstanding ride and balance

i think the idea was that you could easily have a gt that is basically the same if not better than a bullitt...personally, i just like dark highland green - i don't like green in general, but i really like that color...if i ever had to repaint, i'd pry do mine in DHG just cuz...or grabber blue lol.......i like the bullit, just cuz it's simple and clean...the gt500 turns heads, but it's kind of an old person car, no offense (pretty much everyone you see with them are about 80 around here)......the sweet way to go would be a roush or saleen - but you're looking at 65K for a mustang...coulda got a vet or a challenger or almost a viper
