shaker500 mp3's
 

is there anyway to make the shaker500 scroll the mp3 names? the files i burned are pretty lengthy names so it will only say Brad_Paisley-> and there would be an ">" arrow on the end of the name.. is there anyway to make it scroll? i press the text button and it will move over one screen but when the song switches, it goes back to the very beggining

Isn't there a button that says "text"? I think it's the farthest on the right. You can press that and it will scroll through the text.

i believe that it will scroll through a long name once, then it displays just the first X characters (20 maybe?)

Directly from the manual:

In Text mode,

displayed. When the “>” indicator is active, press SEEK to view the

additional display text. When the “<” indicator is active, press SEEK

to view the previous display text.

The text corresponding to the artist and album name is stored in the ID3 tag. The shaker 500 only reads version 1 and 2 tags. This used to be true of the '05s. I don't know if it's changed on the newer cars. The informatino int this article I wrote when I first got my car explains how to burn an MP3 CD using the proper ID3 tags.

i got the id3 tags.. im a pretty big computer nerd so i got that down.. my problem is that the files are named "ArtistFirstName_ArtistLastName-Song_Title.mp3" and it only shows "ArtistFirstName_ArtistLastName->"
