I think most people have picked up 2 to 3 tenths.

wow..

well right now my goal is to join the 12 second club.. so that works.. i could probably get there now, but i need more practice..

now i am just in debate over what to spend my tax returns on.. (950)

could do:
-410's ~ $450
-UDP's - $200
-Eibach pro - $180

I also wanted to do a few appearance, maybe the GT500 rear spoiler, i want a shift light.. etc...

and even thinking about doing more suspension.. ie. - sway bars, or sway bar delete... k-member.. shocks.. I DONT KNOW..

Yep 2-3/10's if you have the traction to work with them. If you have 3.31's you may see 4/10.
Most of my Buds run 4.30 and27 or 28" tires. But their all nuts!

Im going with4.10's and run 28's on the street and 26's on thetrack eventually.
I dont really feel a normally aspirated 4.6is going to overpower a 26" tire at the track (Especially if they say ET DRAG).

Well said! Lower #'s on dyno with 4.10's, and if you have your suspension set up along with tires you should hook like crazy in your N/A.

I think those are295/45R18?About 28.4-28.5" tall so yes a 4.10with those will effectively be like 3.90's withstock 27.1" tires.

Hint: If you can find adrivetrain tech from a local Ford Dealer that moonlights on the weekend installing gears you should be able to get the labor for 100-200.Fluids maybe $50 andI can give you a trustworthy source for410A's for $150 + shipping. Would save you about $100.

Just drop me aPM if you need to know. However if you really trust the place doing the gear install then it might be worth the extra $100.

If its a business let them supply the gears and let them know if their are noise issues you will be expecting them to make it right.
Their are no known issues with the Motives other than requiring more set-up time and according to some noise. If the installer feels he can set them up properly and they dont make noise its fine. If you want the A gears regardless then give them the part number you want M 4209 G410A and let them order them. Its likely the only way you will get a noise warranty from the installer.

If you go the Moonlighting Ford Tech Route you will likely have to supply the gears and any parts.. If you get the "A" gears they come with Shims, Pinion Nut, and Crush Washer so you just need 2 Qt of Motorcraft 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lube + 4 oz bottle of Motorcraft Friction Modifier (Limited Slip Additive). Depending on the age of your car you may want to consider a bearing kit and pinion seal as well. If its low mile you shouldnt need those.

I think they say the alum driveshaft is good for 2 tenths too....
