Default Redline RPM

Inspired by the "idle speed" thread, I have a question about my redline RPM. I have Brenspeed's 92 octane tune and the redline is set at 6800 RPMs. Is this safe?

Alright. Always good to be reassured. Just seemed like redlining at almost 7K was a bit high, but I guess the octane and timeing are factors there.

well how often are you going that high anyway? you really dont produce more power up there than you do at around 6K......look at a dyno graph and you will see where the power starts dropping

Yeah I know the power drops off. I drive and auto (see sig) so I'm not always watching the tach.

Brenspeed reset my redline to 6500. I'm comfortable with that and I do tend to hit it on occasion.

6500 here.. no reason to go any higher with our basic mods.. when you get blown, cammed up, boured and stroked, then you can go higher get something out of it
