Thanks for your responses guys!

Leoleo, how can i get the ford one? it's either to old or has to many miles. am i missing something cause id prefer to have the ford one.

everyone else,
do you think that it would be worth itfor the peace of mind? also 2005 was the first year of the new mustangs, dont the stats show that they are more likely to run into problems? the throttle body went bad, but the dealer repaired it as a "OWE ME" before it was officially purchased. that was about $720 by itself. luckily i didnt have to pay but...if i did. now the question is, do you think that was a common occurence or a rarity? i know that ford has made big strides recently but still...ford.

Buy the warranty but dont actually buy it.
Just get it quoted. Put that amount of moolah
in the bank and add some each and every month.
Dont frickin touch it for mods but only for major
and semi minor vehicle repairs. You will be miles
ahead in the long run. You cant loose. Its a win/win
situation for you.
Extended Warranties are for fools and little old ladies.

man i have to admit. that idea is starting to sound better and better. what do you think is the biggest item i would have to pay for? i guess im trying to find out, whats a fesible amount of cash to have saved up? i wouldnt want to get caught with my pants down. This is my first car like this so i have no idea what could/might/probbably will go wrong.

on a different note,

dont most mods come with some sort of warranty themselves? or is that just wishful thinking?

figure a couple grand if something goes wrong with ur motor, at least a grand for tranny...there's 3K...most likely nothing will happen right away, since it's still fairly new, so if you set aside 50 bux a month or so you'd pry be okay. i have extended warranty on mine til 75K, which it pry won't be hitting anytime soon (i was driving 130+ miles/day,which prompted buying the warranty, butnow i only drive about 5 lol)

but my lumbar stopped working - that was all replaced, heater was making a clunking sound when turned off of defrost, so it was replaced, bad cell in battery, it was replaced....tried to get my skipper 500 replaced cuz it skipped on real cds not just made ones, but they "couldn't duplicate problem" - may have been something else....oh, i need to take it in to get my gauges replaced or something else done, since when it's cold they don't work.....so right there that's probably close to 2 grand in parts and labor - my warranty is good for 5.5 more years/about 25K miles and only cost me a little over a grand, so it's worth it
