Default Strut Tower Brace -- What's the deal?

They seem very popular. Why do some people say they're worthless?

Until you can hang a tire on a launch they pretty much are useless for straight drag racing. But they look cool.

Good question.
Would they help with autocross?

I was troubled by the shaking I was experiencing with my 06 GT convertible.Purchased and installed a brace from Strange Development. $200 later...no discernable difference but looks cool!

i dont care how stiff ford claims their body to be. i would always put both, front and rear on. i guess i'm different though because i like turns and twisties rather than just going straight forward!!

to be 100% honest with you ppl.. i always have heard they dont do SH.T.. but i have had my gt500 brace on for about a week or two now, and HONESTLY... and this could be just bc i wanted to notice it.. but i swear it feels a little tighter.. either way.. it was $40 from ford and tied the engine bay up a little.. but for $40.. its worth the gamble IMO..

i noticed a diff.. i swear!! LOL.. seriously
