13.01 with a CAI.
Did anyone else see the guy on Pass Time that ran the 13.01 and said he only had a CAI on the car? I mean REALLY?? I have lots more mods than that, and the best I have ran is a 13.2, and I consider myself an above average driver! Thoughts?

Yeah I saw it. My brother was like 14 something. I told him a gt stock with the right driver is 13 seconds and with an experienced (drag racer) driver probably low 13's. Besides that weather and track conditions.

People have run 12's with just a CAI and tune. First you need to be close to sea level. Second you have to power shift. American speed has also cut a 1.8 60 foot time on the stock tires.
What was your 60 foot time on your 13.2 pass? What is your altitude? You should be running faster than that with a good 60 foot.

I agree. Stanman you have alot more mods than me, and you have 305 DRs! My 2nd time out ever at the track i went with just the mods in my sig on 275/40 MT ET Streets and ran a 13.2, with a 2.03 or somewhere around that 60ft!

I've said it before there are so many variables involved in drag racing. Just like dynos.
the only way to really know is to race at the same track on the same day with someone.
Stanman. If you aren't powershifting that could be .2 easy.
Also if your 60 is more then a tenth off of what that guy pulled, that can be double that on the big end.
So it sounds to me like your not an above average driver Your leaving a lot on the table with what your telling us about your runs.
I'd guess a Good driver would have your car well into the 12's.
I say either start pushing yourself to get better, or quit ripping on those that are.
