Now that was uncalled for siberian.mist. He wasn't hating on 20's, just claiming a good point. Re;lax, they're only tires.

Okay so this may help someone else out, plus I haven't completely decided what size of rims I'm getting. For someone with stock suspension, what tire size would best fit each of these rims to fill up the wheel well? For this task, assume that we all have a tuner and can change the computer to whatever tire sizes we determine.

for the 20x8.5 I'd go either 255/40 or 245/40.. im sure everyone is going to say 255/40 but its much higher than the stock height.

mdg - i was only kidding, im on here for fun im not ever actually mad about anyone on here

correct me if i'm wrong, but the 255 would be the tire width while the 40 is the height of the tire. if true, 255 would give you more tire on the road and won't affect ride height as long as it's 40 as well.

http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

255/40r20 = 711.96 mm
245/40r20 = 703.83 mm

Aspect ratio, is in relation to width.

I'm stock ride height and I run 255/35's in the front, it doesn't look TOO bad, but in the rear, I'm way unhappy with my wheelwell gap. Currently I run 285/30's, but I think I'm going to switch to 305/35 DR's. That'll be almost 1.5" taller than stock, so it'll fill the wheelwell nicely.
