Default 20's with stock suspension

I'm now interested in getting 20's but don't want to lower my car. Can I just get bigger tires to fill the wheel well? I'm going to get an X-Cal 2 tuner so I should be able to change the wheel/tire size to whatever I get. I'm old school and don't like the lowered cars as much, although I admit some of you with lowered cars pulled it off quite nicely - it's just not my thing, I guess.
So what size tires would fill the wheel well for...
front - 20x8.5
rear - 20x10

I think 265/275 would also fit the front wheelwells no problem. Depends on your offset. I have 9' rims with 40mm offset so I could actually fit 275's up front w/o a problem.

You also have to gamble weight of rims/tires. A 275 tire is going to weigh several pounds more than a 255 tire. Every pound counts on your suspension....

If you want maximum tire size/weight, Iwould go with 265's on the front and whatever you can get for the rear. A 10' wide rim will accomodate a 315 rear tire which is all you will ever need.

Nitto Invo's also come in 40 series tires and fill the wheel wells fine IMO. I am getting them next as the 30 series tire on stock suspension just doesn't cut it. I have a body kit so the car looks lowered to some extent but it is not because of the side exhaust. J

Lowering is for wimpy horsepower dreamers like me!. I'm sure I'll get flamed for that. But seriously, lowering has no effect and we ALL needbetter grip, even those with stock 260rwhp ratings. I need some fat rears....

Don't get 20's, they will kill your acceleration.
