Did he beat it to death?
Ok I am trying to sell my car as some of you might know. So I am going to go look at an 05 c6 vette that has 18kmiles on it and is around 30k. Now how do you know if someone just used the car to race or just beat the hell out of it. I mean it looks nice and he said he only took it out on Sunday's. He didn't do any aftermarket stuff either. Are there any things that would signify abuse on a car? I just dont' want a car that has been pushed and pushed constantly!! Someone help me out here?

RE: Did he beat it to death?
Would you beat the hell out of it? cuz i no i would! almost any car with a decent amout of horsepower is going to be beat on, its just a matter of how much. I test drove a c6 vette a few weeks ago and the sales guy told me to drive it like it was my own, so i did, he was also my age so he didnt care all that much. lol

Sounds like a daily driver to me, also time for a lot of maintance on a almost 4 year old car, check tire and brakes they don't lie if the tire are original and the brakes are o/k their a good chance it's just normal if its on it's it second set of tire and they are worn 2nd set of front brakes and their worn the car was road hard, check his books and records then check the fluids to see if their good or bad? If you know a good tech let him look at it most know were to look,Run a car facts report to see if any insurance claims, cheap protection for you, you can get the phone # on an ebay car adds. I almost bought an 07 mustang on ebay untill I ran a car facts report and the car had a rebuilt title same me some money for like $10.00!!! Imo, hope this helps you.

Thanks guys. He is like 60 years old and he said he would get me a carfax report too. He said he was the original owner and all. But the tire and brake thing is a good idea[&:]
