steeda lcas on! need a little advice...

fell pretty good about myself because i am not very handy. took me 2 and a half hours.[&o] figured out i need air tools because tourquing those bolts to 129 while on your back with a normal torque wrench is a 'challenge' but i got it done.

the real moral of the story here is for the love of God use jack stands.i didnt because i thought this would be an easy job. sure enough, when i was pushing the axel tube into place to get the rear bolt through the lca the jack slipped and the car fell on me. i think im okay though.

is my suspension and everything going to be okay? i jacked it back up pretty quick. do i need to have anything checked?

Wow. Bet that was scary. Always use jackstands! What did the car land on? The rotor?

rotor never actually touched the ground. the opposite tire slipped out a little but nothing on the side i was working on actually hit the ground. it was scary now that i think about it. i wasnt scared when it happened because it happened so quick.

everything seems to be okay; but i dont know if something ended up breaking and i just cant tell yet.

i had the bottle jack on the side frame rails; when i was pushing the rear axel forward to get the rear lca bolt lined up, the car lurched forward somehow and the jack fell on its side. rear came crashing down, hit me in the head and back. the jack wedged itself (on its side) under the frame so the rotor never slammed the ground (was about a half inch away). i still had the other tire on so i managed to work the axel away from me and kinda work myself out.

i think i was lucky because i was lying fairly prone to begin with. thinking back it couldve been a lot worse. if i was a few inches over to the left the rotor would have slammed down on my head and killed me...if i was turned 90 degrees and working under the rotor...proabably wouldve crushed my chest. have a lot of bumps and brusies that showed up today, big one on my back and i have a big bump on my head. [&o]

for the good news...took the car to get checked out and everything is fine. i managed to not break anything. starting to think these lcas were not worth it. [:-]
