Default CAI..Which is best bang 4 buck???

I really can't afford to get a CAI and a Tuner right now...Is it worth getting a CAI like the BBK that doesn't require a tune? Does anybody have the BBK? I already have a K&N air filter(fits in the factory box)...would the change be worth it??? I am not going to race this thing or anything I just want a little more pep...but it is possible that in the future I might get a tuner...so would this BBK still be good enough to run with a tuner and see a change??? I have never had a CAI...any suggestions or input welcome...

Hold off on getting the CAI until you can afford the tune. A CAI by itself will do virtually nothing... Take it from me, I went that route. Ended up buying the tuner after I ran the CAI for about two weeks.

Either buy a used intake and tuner, or save up and get them both new at the same time. I bought my tuner for $190, intake for $150, and tune for $75; $415 total. If I would have waited when Bamachips dropped their prices to $50 per tune, it would have been $390.

Wait and get both together. CAI w/o the tune is a waste of money (IMO). You'll never regret it.

I agree wait until you can get the tune and the intake. I suggest getting a tune from VMP Tuning and a C&L intake with a 88mm maf tube which VMP also sells. I love my set-up. If you don't want to spend a lot on the intake, VMP sells something that's a little cheaper.

If you're lookin for pep, a CAI is the way to go. You wont get much but, its more than you'll get from a stock airbox. If you're going with just the CAI for now that doesnt require a tune, check out the K&N, Airaid () and I've heard good things about the AEM Bruteforce and the Granatelli. A tune however, well help things out vs. just a CAI alone...

FRPP or Steeda are the best looking CAI IMO

The CAI alone MAY net you 2-4, MAYBE 5 RWHP tops. The CAI & tune will net you 15-30 RWHP.A CAI that doesn't require a tune will limit whatever tune you DO get at a later date such that you won't get as much RWHP as having a CAI that a good tune can do something with..

Nobody has said anything about BBK??? Nobody have one? They are popular around here...or used to be(I thought)...I like the looks of the BBK over say the K&N...also...Is a CAI going to screw with my factory warranty?...will a tune?
