Around here they still seem to all be above or right around$20,000for a good one. Take your time, and you should find a good one.

Those speaker looking things are motion sensors for the ActiveAlarm System.

MM
Really...I thought they were for the radio
If you turn the radio up REALLY LOUD, I'm sure they will sense some motion!!!

several folks in the for sale section looking to sell. Several are realistically priced in the teens while others in the 20s, just wait as they will need to lower the price.

Might as well support a fellow forum member who is in a financial pinch. Only problem is unloading your car as most private sales don't take trades

I'm in the market, so I have been following new and recently used for about a month. Here is what I have found:

1) You can buy a brand new 2008 base model GT from a dealer (don't recall the name) in FL for $20,900 (no incl tax)

2) A friend of mine JUST bought an '05 GT convertible(black, black, black, shaker 1000, leather) wtih 1400 miles for $18500.

3) I expect to find an '07 or '08 manual GT with leather and maybe the IUP and Shaker with less than 20k miles for about $20k.

4) After watching many Ebay auctions, very few actually sell, most GT's '06 and '07 are bidding in the high teens only.

5) An Ebay auction just ended with a Supercharged, modified, super clean '06 GT with 19,700 miles, selling for only $20,200 (wow)

Edit: I like watch Ebay because it shows what vehicles ACTUALLY sell for (if the reserve is met). I see vehicles often for sale, especially at dealers, for sale with optimistic price tags. Just goes to show, there is big bargaining room, especially NOW because:
1) the 2010 model is coming with more HP, new body, and almost certainly better features, options, and details
2) Gas prices are high, so prices on used and new are going way down, at the same time, there are more and more Mustangs out there.
This is a buyers market for Mustangs and it will only get better into next year.

Yours is a V6, with high mileage. It may be worth a bit more due to fuel prices so high, but you should expect to get KBB or less. The '05 you quoted was WAAAAYYY overpriced.

Well, for example, I have a Satin Silver '06 GT Premium, with factory 18" Alum Bullitts, Auto, IUP, Interior color accent pkg (red), active anti theft pkg, Lo Jack, MSRP sticker was $30,220 ( I paid 27k) I inquired about trading it in last Spring, I was really thinking about getting a manual GT. At the time my car had 11k miles. The car is in excellent like new condition, other than the FRPP CAI/tune, its otherwise stock. They wanted to give me $16,000 !!!!! I quickly abandoned that idea! The auto isn't that bad after all, not worth the hit. And forget KBB, they make me laugh, they said trade in was $22k, yeah right.

I'd try and sell privately your car now, and then go buy a new '08 GT. You can get a great deal, plus lower financing rates than financing a used car, and you'll have obviously a brand new car with no history, and a full warranty to boot! Win- win situation to me!

That is way high for an 05 plus the used vehicle market has taken a plunge downward. I say 16-17500
