Default Strut Tower Brace, just for looks?

Ok, I see a lot of "Strut Tower Brace's" that is only attached to the two inner strut mounting bots. Do they really think that is going to prevent the struts from flexing under hard cornering conditions?

Like this crap....looks kewl, but does it work?

I would think this is the only solution that may work?

I've heard over and over and over how the new S197 chassis is so stiff that it does not need any external bracing. I would sink that money into suspension parts and LASTLY get a strut tower brace. IMO/

I do think they will help stiffen the front end a little bit, but for most people it's just a cosmetic upgrade.

i know a lot of people have trouble with the oem gt500 brace, but that's what i roll with (it does slightly touch the hoodliner, but i couldn't care less, tbh). for the money, even if it does only provide a very minimal benefit, it's worth it to me.

They add more weight than stiffening quality.
They do look good but the ones I have seen
use slotted mounting holes so where is the "bracing"
there? The Shelby one actually has bumps in the
brackets that lock to the bumps on the strut tower
as to provide some sort of stiffening. Kinda like Viagra?

I would be a crawling under there and seeing if Ford
put the K-Member brace on there or if they left it off
like they did on some 05-08 Stangs.

Ibeleive they do add some stiffness to the front end of the convertible. I have noticed slightly less "floppiness" (cowl shake) and sharper turn in since installing my Edelbrock 3-point strut brace.

They work..It really helps with the turn in..i have alot of suspension pieces, but i decided to try it with out it and again with it on..

I definitly felt a difference in a tight turn ..Front of car stays nice and flat..it works.. I mean its not a must...but when i do something i go all out..

My car can hang with anything out there...a little more wight yea..but worth it IMO
