Default To all with the PVC pipe TPMS fix.....

How long did it take for your car to begin to read the sensors in the pipe? I put everything together this evening and thought it would do the trick immediately, but it still gave me the error message and the little flat tire light. I really hope it works as I am tired of seeing it!!! Thanks for any responses.

Wait until you drive around 5-10 miles.

Does this really work? I've got a 08 if it matters. I've heard of people saying it works but than others say it doesn't.

Is it a relatively easy mod?

I wouldn't call it a mod... but Its pretty much something like taking the sensors out, putting them in a pvc pipe and filling it up with air. I personally thing the TPMS is a PITA! I fking hate it. As-long as the warranty is there.. im not going to mess with the pvc deal.

I'm not sure how relevant this is, but when I put OEM take off sensors on my new wheels I drove around for a week and a half before I got a TPMS fault. I calibrated the new sensors and all has been fine.

It takes 30 mins of driving for them to start registering with the SJB
according to the Ford Workshop manual.
