Default MMR vs. Livernois

Looking at getting forged internals and I'd like to get a pre-assembled block with a stroker kit...the MMR looks the same quality as Livernois, but the Livernois is more expensive? Which brand would you go with and why?

I think I would go MMR. A few people run them around here. I do think both brands are great, so really its just a money issue.

Being that MMR has a race-proven 2100hp car, I would go with them. I have spent mucho $$$$ with them and have been very happy. Give Mark a call if you have any questions. They are all about making power.

Livernois. MMR isn't getting another dime or recommendation out of me. my motor is great, but their customer service sucks, and i know a couple of their motors that went to crap after mine. Next motor will be Livernois for sure

Livernois assembles their engines in a clean room, does MMR? I may very well go with a mmr motor due to costs, but I think livernois might be a step above.

Is there any reliability issues with a stroker? I think I can make the power I want with the 281ci, but if a stroker short block is the same cost and no added concerns, then maybe it's a better option.

Moose...When it comes new motor time, I will probably go with CK's setup... I mean what's the $$ difference? We can use our whipple on the 331 cu/in 3v..We're good to at least 25 psi with the 8 rib conversion......

I'm currently saving my money for this and also the 60# injectors and harnesses lol, not to mention the exhaust[8D]The stroker motor is not much higher in cost...I know it's going to be a pain to tune the first time, but there's more cubic inches there lol. To run a stroker correctly would I need CNC heads?

I have the 5L stroker 950 from MMR, also their stage II head/cams. Always heard wonderful things about Livernois, but MMR was a better price. My mechanic was impressed with the MMR workmanship. It certainly seems to be the real deal.Their delivery dates are a little off. If they say 1 week, it's 3. If you're not in a hurry, just factor this in to your overall plans...we did.

Well I don't have a time limit lol so that part is ok...umm how about the quality though, like is MMR lower quality than Livernois? Both companies product's go far above my power goals (550 rwhp DD) so that's not an issue as far as power potential, but I would like to hear about quality...
