Default Inexpensive moleskin substitute

Sothe tint on my windows isscratched like everyone else's. I decided to order the Moleskin kit and finally get it fixed for summer. Well I got the stuff today and can't believe it's just adhesive backed felt!!! I paid $30 for this stuff??? And it's not even the right width. I logged onto Grainger and found almost the identical stuff (and in the correct width) for $5.72 for ten feet!! The only thing is it's in dark gray instead of black. I coulda lived with it. Anybody who's thinking about getting the Molesking, save some money.

Hope this helps...

Yup. A buddy picked up the expensive ones and I picked up those. We set them next to each other and they were pretty much the same.

I have seen people use the soft side of industrial velcro. It looks about the same. Should perform the same too, I havent tested it though as I dont want tints.
