Nice story man, way to get some new free rims. Can't beat that. I was thinking about converting my GT to look like a v6 the other day...kinda go with the sleeper look. But decided I'm too poor to change everything, and not enough people race me so it wouldn't even be worth all the work, changing the body panels.

Kind of sounds like "he had a little fun" with you.

It sure is a great story !

It took redline in third for him to pull away from you. Sounds like a real powerhouse.
I didn't know GT500's came in Grey-ish
He stripped thousands of Dollars of stuff, including external panels, off a GT500 and replaced with GT stuff
He kept everything, but doesn't really want it of course, so he gives it away to total strangers

That kind of thing happens all the time eh?

If I didnt care about looking cool.... then I too would down-badge/body a car. But, it takes an extremely confident and well-headed person to happily pull that off.

But yeah, maybe he should've just bought a GT and did the engine/tranny swap. Either way, cool stuff.

I'm sure if he could put back on all the gt500 parts in a snap. That way he hasn't damage any of his gt500 parts from rock chips and what not.

I have to call BS on this as well.

A total stranger lets you go to his house, browse through his parts and gives you a brand new set of wheels.

If it really happened congratulations but I am having a real tough time believing this one

Good story. This would never happen to me though as I have a rule that precludes me from striking up conversations with strange men and following them back to their houses. Whatever works for you though...

Why not just put a whipple or Saleen in a GT and bring it to 550flywheel and then minus the 320lbs added weight of the GT500, your at the equal of another 47 flywheel hp, so that makes the GT at 597hp flywheel equivlent to the GT500 @ 500 hp. I don't get it, Erik

ROF!!! I call that dirty racing.......I mean, its cool that he has a stealth stang, Im sure its fun as hell, but when it comes right down to it, it doesnt get any sneekier than that!!! Atleast he didnt put money on the race cuz he would have robbed you too!! lol
