Default M/T ET Streets

I have read that alot of you are using the m/t et street 26x11.5x17 i would like to know how much you like them and if you had any problem with your tranny or your rear of the vehicle. Most of you are getting good 60 times. I just want to know if its worth it and if i am going to have any problems with my rear???

well I know 179.00 a piece is worth 1.60 time for me at the track.

I even run them on the street occasionally.

I ran the ET Street Radials last year, my best 60ft was 1.84 but that is due to limited mods. I have had no tranny or rear end issues. This year I'm running M&H racemasters. They are narrower than the Mickey's but are just as sticky. I am doing 5k rpm clutch dumps. This yearI also have an Aluminum DS and 4.10 gears. My best 60ft is 1.76. My best 1/4mile is 13.07 but I'm not going for best time I'm going for most consistency since I bracket race.

My car runs ETs from 11.0 11.4 and what kind of rear problems would you mean?
The 8.8 is pretty stout differential. No I have never had any problems in over two years of drag racing the car.

Used MT ET streets on 15 inch rim until very recently (switched to 29.5 tall Hoosier true slick). The MTs are very very good. I have a 9 inch built rearend but still worry about something breaking back there (using a transbrake is very hard on a transmission and rearend).A buddy used a set of MT 275/40/17a couple of weeks back. He has a builtmotor but everything else is stockand is pushing 520 rear wheel torque. On his third pass at the track, we all got to witness his rearend pop. He had to leave his car at the track, pick up my trailer and head back to the track. He has since ordered a 9 inch.

I thinkwe wereusing the street tune at 11lbs boost producing 520/530 rear wheel with the MT ET streets and car ran maybe 11.2 (???) at that time, with 1.6 sixty ft times.

I did 5500 rpm dumps, and no problems. Im getting 2.0 60fts, but i blame those on my 3.31's

i would think if your going to drag the car a lot you should upgrade to rear diff to a trutrak

my stock rear started to make noise (clutch packs) after abut 22 passes at the track
