Are you annoyed of the dome lights coming on when the keys are removed from the ignition or whenever you open your doors? This was such a nuisancewhenever I would govisitfemales at night time, it would blow my cover, lol.

This can be fixed by simply cutting 1 wire in the dome console. Onceyou cut thewire,bothlights will still be functional with the push of the buttons

[ul][*]First you have to remove the Dome by pulling straight down being care-full. If it's feeling to hard to remove, you might need the assistance of a flat head screwdriver to push theclips in while pulling down at the same time. You can work with it in place or you can disconnect and remove it, like I did.[/ul]




[ul][*]The solution to this fix is simple, Cut the Light Green/Yellow Line. Take black tape and wrap the exposed end's and reinstall.[/ul]




To test, simply insert your keys in the ignition with the doors closed. The lights should not come on. Now remove the keys, again the lights should not come on, open the doors and again the light wont come on.

Now push the switch on both lights, both lights shouldcome on, push the switch again and they both should turn off.....Simple Solution

just went in my garage and did the splice.. easyy! (took like 2 seconds by the way.. the hardest part was getting the light off, it came out after a minute)

I figured, If I need the dome lights on, I'll turn the damn lights on....

Someone said add a switch. I said hell no, I wasn't ghonna drill no hole in my Dome to add a switch. Waste of time and money...

the lights coming on dont bother me at all. When i get into my car and there are no street lights around i kinda like to have some light to get into the car and put stuff in the passengers seat and stuff....its not like headlights give you away if you trying to hide.

finally......i HATE when i park at night, turn the car off and now the whole block has to see me put my wallet somewhere or just wanna sit for a sec to talk on the cellphone...im going to do this asap for the same reason i got tint...PRIVACY
