Looking to fill up the wheel gap

RE: Looking to fill up the wheel gap
Something you might consider is Roush springs in the rear, this will basicly level the car. Many people have done this and it's not very expensive , ~$150. for the rear springs, nor is it difficult to install them.

RE: Looking to fill up the wheel gap
I lowered my car in the rear only with Roush springs which lowered it about 3/4 inch. I'm running 275-50-17s in the back and the wheelwell is pretty well filled. I never changed anything in the front (springs or tires) and the car looks half way decentwith no rubbing or handleing problems.

Another thing, going to that size tire in the rear increased the tire height by about .8 of aninch whichmade the fenderwell clearancecloser lookingand the wider widthof about 1.2 of an inch gave it that wider tire look from behind.

You shouldn't notice speed loss, 275/50/17 is close to stock diameter but looks to be slim pickins for tires in that size.
255/50/17 would work well on the stock 17 inch wheels and there's plenty to choose from.

Although it isn't much 255/50/17 should result in slightly more of a gap vs. less. Leastways the total diameter vs. the stock 235/55/17 setup will be minus .14"
I was struggling with this very issue just a few days back. The only 275/50/17 tires I could find are Nitto 450 and Falkens. Neither being very impressive. M&H makes some nice drags in 275/50/17 that will fit a 9" rim but they are expensive and ofcourse no good in the rain.

I wouldn't recommend running oversize tires to achieve the lowered look, just my .02

I can remember when a 45 series tire was considered low profile. Now they have some 20 series tires I think and they look like ***.[:'(]
