i mixed it with my 91oct to run my 93 bama tune never had an issue with it runs great but it does get expensive quick I only done it a few times. Just make sure you do your math right and always put a little bit more 100oct unleaded than I am supposed to avoid detonation. (remember I am in California no 93 oct here[:'(])

Lol... people are sooo out of the know when it comes to racing fuel. I don't think you could even get a stock motored n/a car to makemore power on 100 octane fuel then you could on 87. The higher the octane the slower the burn.In a nutshell the higher octaneburns slower and prevents the motor from detonating. In most cases those that will usesomething like that will either be pushing a lot of boost or spraying nitrous. It's a band aid of sort to helpprevent detonation. A stock compression motor will do nothing but lose power and sometimes even idle poorly running the race fuel. Absolute 100% waste of money.

I run 110 on my Go-Kart but it's only to keep a level playing field in my class. It makes more power on 93 octane then it does on the 110(or c12)

I run 101 in my Plymouth, but that's a different story - I'm running 38* of timing, so it needs the octane. And, it's NOT a stock motor. I wouldn't run it in a stock S197 even if it were "tuned" for it: I wouldn't think there would be much benefit.

I wrench for a "late model" stock car driver friend. They use crate 350 Chevy motors and are limited to a two barrel carb. Getting more power is the goal.
He turns up recently at the shop with a 50 gallon drum of 110oct he "did a deal to get". We are like, what the hell did you blow $600 on that crap for?

It's amazing the number of people who just think throwing high octane fuel in a tank is the be-all and end-all of tuning [&:]

I just found out there is a gas station near my home selling 100 octane unleaded racingfuel. I currentlyrun a 91 octane Race tune from Bamachips.

Is anyone on here regularly running a 100 octane fuel and tunein their car? Assuming I have a tune that uses 100 octane is there any harm in doing so? All the time?

Here is a useful site if you live in CA: http://personal.linkline.com/dbarton..._in_SoCal.html
Bet it's got quite a price on it and not many users. Who knows how long that gas' been sitting there with our prices now.
100 octane would pretty much be useless unless you had a tune specific car for that kind of combustion. Theres a lot of idiots out there who use to throw in a few gallons of premium in their old station wagon or vans thinking it was helping out their car.

Maybe time to look to switch to a lower octane tune? Not worth the hassle or questions of how your mix goes. It's not that big of a power difference.

I run 100 Unleaded each track day... Run her empty and put in 1/3 tank. Never have a problem.
