They will be an option on the 2009's.
I believe they will be nicely tinted and with UV protection.
If you can have it done for under $3,000 I'd consider that a deal.

Marcuskeeler???
You got yours at CDC right?

i rode in a CDC one a couple years back and got a sun burn lol
Make sure you get some good window tent on it. Because when its 110 out side you really feel that heat.
Utter, 110% pure BS [:@]

You don't NEED a tint, the CDC Webasto offering has atriple layer ceramic tint embedded in the glass which keeps the temps as low as if the tin roof was still on. It's the Saleen/Ford one which isn't tinted [as much].

Well formulated comment

Maybe Ill wait for 09 to come out. I kinda like the look... But it sucks that they're putting it as an option. Everyone will have it =\

Thanks for the replies. I agree the price seems reasonable, I just couldn't figure out why they needed $800 of slop in the price. Makes me wonder if they have so little experience with the mod that they don't have a clear idea of the labor costs.

If you want the glassback, I would definitely wait for the 2009, I think it is supposed to be a $2K option.

2coke, you're absolutely right, I would've waited for the 2009 but I just didn't know about it at the time. In fact, the first I knew about it was seeing Marcuskeeler's sig pics

3K from CDC.
They are coated with a UV inhibitor so sunburns are not possable
otherwise the interior would sun fade just that much faster.

I am pretty sure that it is an option you can get for an 09 not standard though
Its a $1995 option according to this article on the panorama roof.

Ha Ha, agreed. If you don't like it that's fine. I like it and I would certainly get it over all the stick on parts other cars have that end up costing just as much.
On a side note, the new Car and Driver has an article about the 2010 mustang and (so far) it looks great. There is also talk of a 6.2 litre engine for 2011. I plan on trying to hold out until this is available. If the glass roof is available, I will certainly getting one.
