What happens if someone accidently push the down button and the top is still latched? Does the latch have an interlock so the motor doesn't try to drive or will it try to to the top down?
Bump.

I just tested it. It looks like there is a safety built in as the top motor started but then stopped. Thats good to know as I wouldn't want the motor to run out and die with the latches attaches. Sounds like Web-Electric was smart enough to build in a safety process.

I also seen these and wondered how they work. Thanks again guys for spending some more money for me.

I never felt like I was desperately pressed for time when dropping the top (7 seconds?) so
I'm not really seeing the value on this either but thanks for the review!

I think the added benefit of some 7 seconds quiker is nice, but the main draw is instead of sitting there holding it till top is down.
I can be getting ready to go, with my seatbelt and such, as the OP stated.
Very cool, thanks for the review.

same premiss as auto windows (which come OEM). Why sit there and hold the button for that long if you could just click it once. Plus, I think I picked up a few RWHP with the install. The car feels quicker.

you will have to operate the roof a total of 514 times until you "break even".
That would take me about a week.[sm=smiley2.gif]

The install was very easy, although I recommend buying a few high quality butt crimp connectors instead of using the quick-splice pieces that comes in the kit. I'm not a big fan of the quick-splices.
Hey,

I just ordered one because well...you made it seem so cool [8D] . But I don't know what you meant here. What do I saw when I go to Lowes? "I'm looking for some butt crimp connectors?" Or something more specific? Thanks!

anything that will connect two wires securely... anything will work... as for me I used crump connectors and then wrapped them in electrical tape for extra security.
