Default To Stripe or Not to Stripe?

I have been considering black stripes on my 07 Alloy GT, but can't find any good pictures to decide if I really like it or not. Does anyone have any good pictures of this? All opinions on rather to do it or not are welcome! Thanks!

5SPD07GT has some good photos of his Alloy with matte blacks tripes. This thread has some good ones.

That's the way i think i am going as well, i've been having a hard time deciding between black or silver for mine.

Thanks! I still can't make up my mind.....this is worse than trying to pick out wheels! I'm not sure that I have ever seen silver stripes on an Alloy.

I'm doing/have done Silver stripes on my '08 Alloy. I don' t have pictures at the moment, because they
are rather embarrassingly badly done. I did base mine off of pictures from this site, so if you
do a search for alloy and stripes, you'll find them.

My experience, and very much my OPINION:

- Get them painted. I'm having mine painted at the end of the month. Yes, it's more expensive, but
then amortize that over how long you'll have it, and it's not worth the frustration/compromise of vinyl.

- If you cannot afford paint, and you MUST have stripes, then buy them from Baltimorestreetmods
and do it yourself. Do not trust anyone else to care about how your car looks as much as you care. Given
the cost of BSM stripes, for what you'd get charged, you could probably do them yourself 2 or 3 times. In fact,
were I to do it over, I would have ordered 2 kits right off the bat, just in case. Still cheaper than having them
done. My vinyl guy came recommended by the dealership. They must have low standards or a poor eye
for detail...

I know there are some people who will say a good installer can install them "perfect", but I just haven't
seen them. It's possible that all the installers in my area suck, or I just haven't seen enough vinyl yet.

If you are willing to wait until early June, I'll have some pics of mine with painted silver stripes.

I got vinyl stripes, and while they look good, nothing wrong with them, I kinda wish I had gone with the painted on ones.

Youcan also get stripe from Bob White Decals. I had a shop put mine on, and they did a great job. Better this I could have. I got recommendations from both the dealer and from a local performance shop.
