So last night im driving around town and im stopped at a red light....Out of nowhere i hear a loud metal ratting noise coming from under the car....When i get home i get out and hear that its coming from under the car and sounds like something in my cats...Just for the info im running Kooks l/ts with catted x-pipe....i bring the car to ford the next day and they tell me that my cats actually blew!!! ive never heard of this before....Well long story short im going with the off road xpipe Kooks L/ts and the SLPs im thinking this is ganna be SCARY loud any info or input from anyone would be appreicaited

i've heard of hi flow cats not lasting that long, maybe a year or 2.
it will be louder w/ o/r x pipe.
if its too loud and obnoxious, maybe its time you joined the boomtube crew!

yeah i've called them they told me it rarely happens but does happen...they told me they can send me new cats for 200 or the catless kit for free so i figured id try the catless set up and see how it goes

ya.. honestly.. im 100% for more noise.. but that might just sound like toooo much.. but then again, it could sound awesome.. but those kookers with an x pipe would sound great with mid mufflers or magnapacks, or any glasspacks really... look into doing those.. i know advance auto parts has thrush glass packs for dirt CHEAP right now... i think like $35 a pc.. have em put in hugging the drive shaft.. think about it!

I think one of my cats is going...Around 3k rpms I hear this loud rattle...Is it common for them to only rattle around a certain rpm? And I am guessing ford doesnt cover them?
