2007 mustang v6 clutch problem! Replacing (help!)
Hey guys, I have a 2007 mustang v6 and I need to replace the clutch. Some people have told me that the 2005-2006 are different then the 2007. Does anyone know if the centerforce clutch will fit for my car? Item #DF490309 also seen at http://www.brothersperformance.com/c...oducts_id/4776
and also will the hurst v6 one fit for the 2007?

I'm wondering what you did to kill the clutch on an 07. Ive got almost 13K miles on mine, still chugging along. in fact the only clutch I ever had to replace was on my 86 mustang. but I put like 180K miles on that one.

I have 14500 on my 2007 v6 pony package bi@tch and it's headed to the garage...the clutch is gone.. hell yes I drive it hard, but I don't take it to a short track...first word is that ford isn't going to cover it...wtf...it's a year old in three weeks...why would I buy a new car if it's not going to last???? Garage guy asks "do it go through a lot of city driving?" UHM>>>it goes through whatever driving I do because I live 30 miles from work and that's why I have a car...if I wanted to ***** foot around, I'd drive my 2006 FX4... Anyone else feel this way?

28K miles on my clutch and no signs of wear...
I don't pamper it either.
Do you guys downshift a lot? Even when driving cool?
Do you sit at the red light with you foot on the clutch?
Are your cars blown?
Doing those things will shorten the life of any clutches.
Having said that, we should get 100K on those, in stock conditions.
Don't know what else to tell you[8D].

I do down shift, thought that was part of a manual transmission, helps save on brake usage. Funny that my 91 geo storm with the same type of hydrolic clutch lasted 150,000 miles and this one 14,500... plus a ford garage told me that it might not be covered after 12,000 or one year...funny that it would be that limited of a warranty, makes me want to sell the car right now.

I downshift a lot too, cause that's how you drive a stick.
But the bite is that you use your clutch twice as much.
A member here (wasvette) has 150K or so on his Stang and has not ran into problems.
Original clutch etc...
Sorry about your bad luck man.
