HELP aftermarket Bi-xenon HID question
I installed my bi-xenon HID kit from ebay and my low beams work fine, but when I turn on my high beams, the beam goes way low. When I turn them on, the bulb moves up in the reflector, but it seems like it should move down in order to make the beam go high. Can someone with a bi-xenon kit please go look at their headlights and tell me whether the BULB moves up or down when you flip on your highbeams? Thanks in advance.

RE: HELP aftermarket Bi-xenon HID question
I have tried two different HID kits. One with a bulb that moves in and out, and one that hinges up and down.
With the in/out bulb...
Out = low beams
In = high beams
With the kind I believe you are talking about...
Down = low beams
Up = high beams
I can't really tell you why your lights get lower when the bulbs aim up, sorry.

RE: HELP aftermarket Bi-xenon HID question
bulbs move down on high and are straight on low on the bixenon kit you described. The in and out I really dont know. But the one that moves down I know because I just installed my kit. The beam pattern is perfect and it does not glare. on high beam mode I can light the top of an suv from 4car lengths behid

RE: HELP aftermarket Bi-xenon HID question
I dont know about the up and down kit, but the one the moves in and out works perfectly. It puts the filament in the exact location as the factory halogen for low and hi beams. If you look at a halogen bulb the hi beam filament is right behind the low beam one.

RE: HELP aftermarket Bi-xenon HID question
The kit i purchased is for both, but like jaguar king says, the bulb must move down in order to get a high beam of light due to the physics of a parabola. My bulbs move up instead of down which means they are upside down, but I can not rotate them. I dont know whether it is a manufacturing defect or what.

RE: HELP aftermarket Bi-xenon HID question
Alright well I guess I have two options now. I can either try to break off the excess little tabs on the headlight bulbs so that I can rotate them around so that the bulb will move down (however, I will not be able to rotate it completely 180 degrees because there are only 3 prongs aka 120 degrees.) Or I can go back and forth with this ebay guy till he finally agrees to send me new bulbs which will probably cost me shipping. Any suggestions?
