GT/CS Stripe Removal

RE: GT/CS Stripe Removal
I like the stripe, but think it looks awkward on the door. I think it would look better on the
rocker.
Don't wax around it, wax right over it, use the Turtle Wax ICE. I waxed right on top of my
vinyl, comes out great.

Noooooo.
Depending on the stripe, I don't always love the look of them on the V6 Mustangs. Some work, some don't.
The GT/CS one I would absolutely leave alone though. I think that's about the sharpest looking side stripe you can get for our cars.

RE: GT/CS Stripe Removal
Looks like the stripes are more noticeable on the Dark Red compared to the Vista Blue. I've had quite a few people say that they didn't even notice the stripes on mine until they got up close. Have considered going with silver stripes on mine as well like on the Shelby GT, but would clash with the black cs stripe. For now, keeping the CS stripe. I tried removing the dealer sticker with a hair dryer but still had alot of residue left over. Used Goo gone and then Fast Wax to clean up the residue.

RE: GT/CS Stripe Removal
i took mine off the same day i piked my car up from the dealer. Heat the stripe up with a hair dryer. it comes off stupid-easy. but then again, my car was brand new.
This is what i came up with, i took off my tripe, but left the GTCS. i get alot of Kudos on it, looks good.

RE: GT/CS Stripe Removal
A grabber orange GT/CS in Bellevue, NE removed his stripe, said he didn't like it. It was still obvious to me that is was a California Special. Looked much cleaner.
3M makes a rubber wheel that attaches to your drill. It removes the stripe and the goo and residue in one pass. I use it all the time doing bodywork.. mostly to get glue off after removing emblems. Your local automotive paint storeshould haveit.
