Default Looking for a Quality Hood Strut Kit

OK, I just did a search and found very little on the subject. I am looking for a quality hood strut kit. I bought one off ebay recently and it was crap. It wasn't finished and the welds can be seen and just looked like $h!t. I'd like to find a stainless style that is direct bolt on. I do not want to drill or rivet the kit, just a simple install. If anyone can provide some help, I sure would appreciate it.

MRT kit looks too bulky and ugly!

Does anyone have the Stillen model strut kit? I found one after posting this thread and like how clean it looks, Opinions? http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...;partno=108813

Hold tight. I'm installing one today that was made by a fellow forum member (surprised you
didn't find much on the subject on a search, since there are a ton of threads).

Read this thread:

I'm installing the ones that grabberorange1 made this afternoon. I'll try to get a review
and some pics up later tonight or tomorrow (might be tough, but I'll try to get a few).

If you like the stillen, there's a post in there from Page, who is a forum sponsor.

I backed off from the Stillen, because I think the strut will be in the way on the battery
side of the engine bay, near the battery.

Here's a pic of them, they will come in a limited selection of oem colors in another week or so...they are available now in natural aluminum for $89.95 plus ship and tax in CA.Color will be more $ for powdercoating, or the natural set if paintable. My set in Pic is painted. PM if interested, I have a list of guys waiting for the colors, will keep everyone posted when they are ready to ship. You can also ask MellowYellow, he has a set installed.
