So my Shaker 500 had died and after waiting several weeks for a new unit to come in it was replaced, but now when I turn the lights on, the lights on the Shaker head unit will not come on, nor will the display dim.

Does anybody know if this something simple like a fuse, or am I going to have to either rip into the dash, or take it back to the dealer?

Did the dealer to the replacement? I think there are 3 harnesses that need to be plugged in ... sounds like they forgot one ...

Who did the swap? Did you already check the fuses? Do the dash lights all dim and light up correctly? Sounds like to me its a simple wire thats not connected. Try re connecting the wire harness again, it may be as simple as the harness not being tight enough. I am sure someone here can tell you the correct color of the wire for the lights and the dimmer (I think its the same wire). Hope this helps

Yah, dealer replaced it under warranty. All other lights and gauges work

I would go back to the dealer and have them get another shaker out of another car and install it temporarily to see if its the car or the head unit. If the radio works all except the lights then it may be a simple harness issue.
