Everytime I contact one of the tuners via email they're like blah blah, it may not make that much diff with your setup so I haven't shelled out, especially after my dyno tuner told me what he did.

I have an automatic with a JLT cai only.
I started out running the bama 87 perf. and was blown away.
Then I switched to Bama's 93 race for my first autocross with the mustang. I didn't like it that much honestly, well for around town driving anyway. It shifts like im WOT at neighborhood speeds.

Then I loaded bama 93 torque.

It never ceases to amaze me. I love slowing down to 45 mph on the highway and flooring it up to 100 or so. There's no more delay on the inital downshift and goes straight to the right gear, throwing you back into the seat. The shifting is incredible... throws your head back. Chirps 1st to 2nd, and catches rubber going into 3rd. Always puts a grin on my face. Oh yeah and gas mileage. 3 days ago, on the way home I reset my average mpg going 60mph on a flat road... I got 31.5 MPG! I must say it made my day and set a new personal record.

WAIT! Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention the insane launches I get on stock tires, lmao.
The 87 bama tune isn't as good, as it still spins the tires from a stop, buthis 93 tunes HOOK UP!
I don't know how he does it. If I put the brakes to the floor and build the revs and do the hardest launch I could possibly do, the tires don't spin at all... it hooks up like it's on drag tires! You can see the front of the car just lift and take off... ahh it's incredible.

Yeah, but has anyone compared a "canned" SCT tune to a "tuner" tune???? I'd love to see some dyno results....

I seriously doubt I'll ever see those.

well, it seems like Bamachips is really shining thru.

a couple questions to you bama / automatic guys:

1: with the 87 perf how are the shifts when cruising normal? when romping on it?
2: with the 93 torque how are the shifts when cruising normal?

i like that he will update for free even after buying other upgrades elsewhere, and i like that he has such a good track record with automatics.

That's all I needed to hear. Doug at Brenspeed? He's one of the ones that told me I wouldn't be that impressed.

Of course I told him that I would be getting a dyno tune...

I have an auto with both Brenspeed and Bama tunes.

Bama's tunes shift a bit later and harder.

Brenspeed's pull harder mid + top.
