Default Anyone try M&H 275/50/R17?

I'm thinking about getting some of these to replace the stock tires in the rear. I have 17x9 wheels. I would honestly prefer a street tire like a 555 but noone makes a good tire in this size and options are very limited in the 27" range. I don't want anything w/less diameter than the stock setup which I want to leave up front.

Anyone have experience with these? Assuming I stay out of the rain will they last a reasonable amount of time or is this a seriously bad idea?

They put me in a ditch and through a fence at 60mph. It had stopped raining, but there was still water on the road. They are not a daily street tire IMO. There isn't enough tread grooves to channel the water away from the tire, but they stick like glue in the dry.

You will have to drive 30mph in the rain and i'd be worried even at that speed with 50% tread life.

Email your favorite tire manufacture and tell them there's a huge market out there for some ultra high performance or Max performance 17 inch tires with a 27-28 inch diameter. I've emailed three allready, but I can't do this alone.

I refuse to buy 18 inch wheels just so I can get a wide performance tire.[:'(]

With no track use, 6k miles is what you can expect, but like I said, after 3k miles they are useless in even the slightest rain.

I emailed Nitto already today. I agree this is effing retarded to be forced into 18" wheels just because I want something wide that doesn't look like ***.
