race vs street?
What do you think about these

vs these

I have used the search button and read alot about the differences but what I dont understand is why you would get the street ones vs the race ones if they cost the same and the race LCas will deliver better performance. One would only assume the race LCAs are stronger as well. Its gonna be going on a daily driver 06 GT that will see the track a few times a month for sure, and definetly is driven aggressively daily so Im just wondering why not get the race ones??? I dont understand exactly what makes them so bad for a daily driver can somone fill me in on this because im not understanding the cons of the race LCAs from past threads??? Trying to decide over here. Thanks

RE: race vs street?
2Steel bushings vs. 1steel/1poly bushing
Steel bushings are louder and stiffer which equal better handling but clunks and pops transfered to the chasis.
Unless you race a lot steet lca's will be just fine. Actually the street lca's you posted are kind of a hybid street/race.
Lowered stance and larger rhan stock rims will add to the noise also.
just my opinion.

Simply put, withall steel bushingsthere is less padding between the wheel and the chassis making simpleroad bumps more pronounced and a "stiffer" ride. Stiffer=louder and less comfortable but makes the car handle better because there is less flex.

I get it haha the way it was explained I enterpreted it as the actual LCA is sitting back there clanking around making noise like a loose bolt or something thats what I didnt get but well udnerstood now.Thanks.

RE: race vs street?
The rule of thumb is:
Track only car - rod/rod
Track/Street car - rod/poly
Street only - poly/poly
Note that the stock control arms have fairly soft rubber bushings (they isolate noise well). Poly bushings are MUCH firmer. Rod are even firmer. If you are a street car you don't need rod/rod.
