If you can live without the airbag (no pun intended), I say go for it - looks sweet.

And personally, I think crusie control is useless..
Good luck living without the airbag after a crash at speed!
It looks cool but I've seen how airbags pay off in an accident and would never remove mine.

But it's your life, so just check your state's vehicle code to see if it's legal to drive without the airbag on the street.
And make sure your insurance is up to date, especially if you don't drive with 4-point safety belts!

Of course if it's just for the track then it a big thumbs up!

5 point harness corbeu racing seats will be installed soon with a full cage so I am not worried about a airbag it wont do anything compared to the safety upgrades I am putting in

lol - yeah - if the wreck is so bad a full cage and a 5 pt won't hold you in, an airbag won't do you much good!

Looking forward to pics - Ortoch - you having the cage custom made or are you sourcing it from somewhere? I've been thinking about doing the same and am just starting to look at rollcage options..

I don't think you car won't pass inspection without an airbag... I believe something like all production cars post (insert year here) must have airbags in them in order to pass inspection.

Then again I could be wrong... (don't tell my wife I said that)

I like the look. I haven't seen any decent steering wheel options for the S197 yet. That's not to say they aren't out there, I just haven't seen any. -Joe

I am in the military and still claim ohio as my home of residence so all I have to do is send a joke of an inspection form in that base police can fill out in 5 minutes confirming my vin number and that the car runs back home and they send me new plates... dont have to get inspected in any state but california and hawaii that I know of if you have out of state plates.

Thanks for all the comments though glad that the idea isnt being laughed at haha

I think it would be sick! What is the center section (horn area) made out of? It would be cool if you could puta GT or some kind of logo there, maybe even get something machined out of billet.
