Default Anyone else notice this before they got a tune?

So I was out honing my heel/toe / Rev matched downshifts today and it was very irritating. The throttle response was soooooooo terrible. I ended up having to "blip" the gas pedal like 3 times before it would rev up to the appropriate speed. Im sure a tune would fix this.....unless Im a complete moron and not doing it right. Anyone else with stock tune have this issue?

No, I didn't really have that problem, maybe you've got some serious throttle lag and that's whats making it hard for you.

Yeah it seems like it....I will push the gas peddle in like twice(same distance in) and nothing will happen until like the third "blip"......I never notice the throttle lag with the stock tune until I started heel/toe.

It could be the adaptive learning. Try resetting the computer. Pull the battery cable for awhile (not sure how long).

i dont think i ever had a problem like you described...thats way weird. The mustang pedals dont set up very well for heal toeing in the first place compared to my dads porsche etc which have very close pedals that are made for that sort of performance driving. Thats what i learned on, so it was way different on the mustang, just gotta get used to it.

haha yea i remember with the stock tune, downshifting heel/toe was impossible. the first 1.5-2 inches of pedal travel do nothing while the car is in neutral and moving.

Lag or dead pedal space? A tune can fix the lag. Dead pedal space is a different story.
