Default Polished whipple worth getting????

I talked to a shop today on purchasing a whipple s/c from them. Thought about getting a polished version, but the guy says stay away from them and stay with the black version. He says that polished versions are too high maintenance on cleanliness. If you don't keep up with the cleaning, it will get filthy, temperature changes may affect the polished look, tarnishing, etc... So I was just wondering what type of problems you guys have had or not have with polished blowers??? Should I stick with the black version?

I plan to put in some shows, but I will be driving it, I guess you could say, every other day from spring to fall.

Ummm no lol it's pretty easy to maintain the shine. Everytime I wash the car I wash the underside of the hood and spray off the engine bay and wash the whipple...then dry it and put a coat of chrome wax on it and it's like a mirror

If you want the polished you should get it. You might regret it later on. Everytime I change my mind about parts I always go back to what i wanted first.

I use mine for shows and it is not a DD for me but I do drive it from May to December.... I have had no problem with the polished finish and still wonder why all the tuners I have talked with say that they are high maintenance? Polish it when you polish the car.... JMO and to me it was worth the extra 500 bucks!!!!!
This pic was when it was new last sept..... it looks better now that I detailed it and will post pics after the first car show this weekend if the weather permits

I would get the polished one. it is like any other thing that is polished. You just have to take care of it. But, it will look much better.
