RE: Gas Mileage with vs without CAI / tune - my tests
alright well i just wanted to make sure, cause in tn or at least east tn its only a 20 cent difference in reg and premium, and on fridays its only 10 cents difference at this one place

Mike,
I did a quick re-look at your numbers, and unless I did a calc wrong, somewhere between $4.30/gal, and $4.45/gal for 87 octane, and using the SAME $0.30 difference between 87 and 93 the numbers change, and it becomes more COST efficient to run 93 octane. The percentage of the difference is smaller.
Thanks for doing this, I was just about to do the same thing! I still may, I drive almost ALL highway miles, so mine may come out differently.

Looks like for a lot of people it's already the better option since it's not 0.30 cent difference anyway, you guys are lucky, you have every excuse in the book to go out and get a CAI / tune

I'm glad someone else did the math because when I did it for my truck it was more cost effective to run 93 octane. I've used that to justify paying for it now in the Mustang.
