Advice for removing vinyl stripes?
I bought a used 05 almost a year ago and lately my vinyl stripes are starting to fade and they have awful water marks/stains in them for some reason. I have tried to scrub them really hard but they arent coming out. plus, a couple of rocks have hit them and you can see the white under them now..
im thinking about removing the stripes and putting new ones on.. i dont really know how to do this at all. i know it needs to be in warm weather and i have that here in texas but what exactly is a solid procedure for it?

I've removed stripes on my current/previous stang with ease. First off, get yourself a blow-dyer, it will make the process very easy. Find an edge of the stripe, peel it away a little and sweep the hot air under the stripe as you pull it off the vehicle. Once everything is removed, use some goof-off or goo-be-gone and remove the excess adhesive. I had BSM stripes and it easy too easy to do. Good luck!

i didn't really have procedure when i removed mine last week, but i will definitely advise you to use Isopropyl alcohol to remove the residue from the stripes. goo gone didn’t work at all for me.

as usual once you create a thread like this there will be a bunch of Related Threads at the bottom of it.
Use hair drier over a foot long section at a time and peel back.
Clean up with WD-40, then clean, polish and wax!

i'm not posting my whole story again as i have on other threads. All i can say is it was the most painful car experience ever. Mine came off WAYYYYY harder than any of the above posts (factory ones). the BSM ones peeled right off like above... but factory... egh
