I love everything about my Black 2005 GT except the skinny wheels. From the side they look AWESOME, but from the back look skinny and weak!
My 2002 GT had 255's but the rims sucked!

I could use some advice from some of you experts in here (I'm green when it comes to wheels), I was looking through some pictures in the picture section and saw some really cool threads!! (Spanky's Car - wow!!)

HERE'S MY QUESTION:
Anyway, I was thinking about keeping the cool Shelby rims and go wider, but the place I took it to said that I can't go wider on those rims because the struts are in the way. So does that mean I have to go taller to get wider? Spanks car looked like it had 19s, were wide and looked cooool!!

Any suggestions? Is that strut thing true?

heard ya can fit 295 on 10 inch rims on the back
leave the 255 up front

Hi I have a Black Gt 5SP also amd I put on a set of 95 Ford Corba R 17x9 wheels along with a set of Nitto n450's 275/50-17 tires.The offset is +24mm and the tires are even with the front fenderwell opening and rears just a tade more.It realy looks good.I also put on a set of Ford rear splach guards they are small and molded to the fenders Almost can't see them

I went with the Steeda wheels also. I put 275/35/18 Toyo RA1s .

sorry, tire sizes for the Steeda rims i'm getting are 275/40/18

you can put 255's all around on stock wheels.
