I think I'm going to get the Pypes Mid Muffler, Pypes O/R X, and BBK Ceramic Coated Headers. I'm also going to keep the SLP LMs for the tips. It should sound pretty sick.

Bottom line is I like the sound of the boomtubes. I just want it a notch louder in and out. At the moment I've already spent everything I can afford to this year on the car - so the additional cost of the resonators + install has pushed it over what I want to spend right now. I may still do this but it won't be for a while.

I am curious though - can someone please tell me just how much louder I'm looking at both in and out of the car vs. boomtubes alone? Youtube vids are great but it's hard to really tell from those.

You're going to LOVE that setup Thumper. Just remember to do the new engine mounts same time as longtubes. They've already got the mountsloose to get the LT's in. I didn't do them at the same time and those f'in hydra mounts had my headers beating around like a cat under my hood (don't ask me how I know this [&o]). Went back to the shop as soon as my Steeda HD mounts shipped and had them installed. Do them now or later but you'll definitely want better engine mounts with longtubes. And the smooooothness is great! My car used to buck through gears prior to the new mounts. No more bucking after.

I'm actually doing the shorties because I'm going to go with a turbo eventually. I agree about the motor mounts, I'm going to have them throw them in there. I was quoted $300 for installation of the headers so it's not worth it for me with my bad back to try to miss with it. I've got the CHE K Member Brace with Torque Limiters so that helps a lot. I can't wait. I might have to do the BBK Shorties and than get the Pypes Mid Muffler after because I might have the same shop do 4.10s too at the same time. I was quoted $625 for FRPP 4.10s.

Ooh, yeah. All that turbo tubing you'll need the shorties unless you go with STS. My tuner was trying to persuade me to go with the STS system. They REALLY want to install that system on a customers car and gave me a GREAT quote on it (~$5k installed for the single setup). They're trying to get acquainted with STS and become a dealer.

My first thought was "I'll lose my expensive long tubes!!!" but with their setup you can have longtubes (rear mounted turbo). I've juggled the idea but not sure I want all that tubing under my car. KISS is my mantra.

I'd never consider a turbo anyway. Too much pipe undercar for a daily driver.

I have a catted prochamber with Borla stingers,.....if you're interested. It sounds great and it's emissions legal.
(sorry about all the dead space between exhaust sounds in the video)
