2009 Mustang

RE: 2009 Mustang
The 2009 model will be the same, the only difference will be the glass roof as mentioned and new color options. Certain features will be stock on the V6 that were stock on the GT, but that's pretty much it.
The 2010 model will resemble the body style of the Mustangs from the 70's . . . with a fastback look. Still looks pretty sweet, but I prefer the S197 body style better.

I make it a point of not having any problem affording gas for whatever car I buy. My mustang is my daily driver. As will be my next one. While I love this car, it's not so great that I'm afraid to use it...
Also, I hate to break it to you but, relatively speaking, our gas is dirt cheap. Even if/when it reaches $7 a gallon, it will still be cheaper than the $8+ that most of europe is paying today.
If these are really your concerns, you may want to plan ahead and buy a civic.

Gas finally hit 4 bucks a gallon here in NJ. Surprised it wasn't sooner, its ironic things are so damn expensive here, but he gas is one of the cheapest in the country, go figure!
Anyway, I don't use my Mustang GT as a DD, but damn , its 50 bucks every time I fill up, 93 gas. (Almost 40 for my DD Accord, using 87).
Unlike the gas crunches of the 70's, this will not go away I feel. This is it, scary times, as everything is affected by the gas prices. And now the Challenger is yet to come out, and the Camaro! Bad timing? History repeats, I feel performance hit its peak, now we're around the corner of the downside again, although different this time I feel, because the world is a very different place from the 1970's. Who knows what the future brings for these cars? Grand plans with new motors and HP increases will probably change overnight. V8's will be very niche, and only for the few that can afford to buy them and fill up the gas tanks without a worry. I'm very traditionalist when it comes to American cars, especially of the muscle variety. If there's no V8 offered, thats somethng I would find very hard getting used to. Even if its a quadruple turbo'd v6, or an inline 4 w/ 40 mpg, and 500 HP, its still not a V8, I'm sorry. However, I think we're entering somewhat of a Dark Age. It has crossed my mind to sell the Mustang, get out of cars, so to speak, and ditch my old Accord, and just have one car, like a Civic, for and all around use car, so I'm not stuck with the Mustang when its too much to drive, but I think I'll hold out!
So back on topic, who knows what the future holds for the Mustang, but like the others said, '09 same, '10 new styling, and who knows what motor plans as anything can change overnight.
OK, enough doom and gloom, its beautiful out here in Jersey, I'll go for a ride while gas is still only 4 bucks!!! LOL
