Default Pioneer Avic D3 system installed

I have an '05 GT with the 5-spd manual transmission. I installed an Avic D3 in the car. The car originally had the Shaker 1000 system. My question is about the load popping noise when the system is first turned on. Any way to get around this? Where would I connect the illimination wire as the screen is blinding at night time when set on Nav.

Any input would be great.

I like that thread for the POPPING sound. But that's all... Other than that the wires are all ran all over the place and what not. Here's the other one... https://mustangforums.com/m_4489289/tm.htm

Should of researched it before installing it, you need to get a voltage regulator.

I looked around for some time before purchasing this unit and NO WHERE did anything in the manual tell me to install a voltage regulator or I would hear a popping noise everytime it started. I consulted a stereo install shop and they never mentioned it either.

It's not in the manual but it's in every Mustang write up on every Mustang message board.

When I got my DNX5120 yesterday, they asked me if I want it installed or do I want to install it myself. I told them Ill try myself since there was so much info on the forums to tackle the job. I was just about to ask about the wire harness with a 5v REGULATOR, when the guy asked me if I had a shaker. I said yes and he gave me a harness that was for 04-07 amped FORD/LINCOLN cars with a 1.5 RESISTOR. I assuming Al & Eds knows what I need and that a resistor and regulator would do the same thing. Let me know if I am wrong.

sp44... Sorry ifI joined this site after I purchased my mustang. Sorry I had already installed my AVIC-D3 before joining this site and asking forassistance. In additionI am sorry for believing what several install shops told me when they FAILED to mention that my car would exhibit a popping noise due to the Shaker 1000 systems amps. Sorry thatI failed to to ask about this problem that you felt compelled to just write a pissy comment to rather than a helpful one. I used to have Expeditions prior to this current mustang and regularly provided write-ups and pictures for things thatI had done with those vehicles in hopes thatI might help others rather than try and belittle them for not knowing these issues existed or where to get the fixes. The time you spent to write your comments could have "A" been not spent at all or could have "B" been spent providing a link. Since you already saw that positive comments had been provided, I would have prefered you had chosen option "A".

For those that provided actual answers along with links to places to get the answers I applaude you for your help and patience. Here is a pic of the final product.I still have the illumination wire to connect but I found in other post already so i could save myself the wrathe of those with little time but to be negative.
