Default Hint for Steeda CAI owners

I've been happy with my Steeda CAI until the other day. After several months of great performance, my engine threw a code, and it turned out that three of the bolts that hold the filter mount, heat shield, and air tube together were missing. Talk about wrong air/fuel mixture! The allen head bolts that came with it didn't have a lock washer under them. Just to be fair, maybe it came with them and I just failed to install them. At any rate, make sure if you install a Steeda CAI to put some kind of lock washers under the bolts.

Oh, and I'm happy with my CAI again. It works great now that it stays together.

No, I used split ring lock washers. I did think about locktite, but I figured the lock washers would be enough.
