pypes emissions legal X pipe
Hey guys, and gals... Im looking for a midpipe after drivin my brothers 03GT with the mac prochamber and catback... I really don't have that much to spend right now , and i also need to be able to pass inspection. a couple options for me...
1) inspection is due this month (may) so i can get it done, and by a non emissions legal mid pipe and not worry about it until next may...
2) buy a mid pipe that has "high flow cats" ... or a "catted x pipe".... not really sure of the differences here.
or
3) buy the pypes emissions legal x pipe from brenspeed for 90 bucks. I just really wanna know if this is even worth it, its in my price range, but i dont know if it would even be any louder ? how it would sound with the mac pipes i have on now, and if i would get ANY power gain out of it ( i know i wont get much if any)
any input would be sweet...or sound clips
thanks!

RE: pypes emissions legal X pipe
Power gains between an H and X crossover are minimal...
Dont know about an X with the macs, could get a little thrashy...
Best bet, is keep the stock H, and weld in some magnaflow high flow cats or similar. Should give you a nice increase in volume and more throaty..
OR a high flow catted prochamber would probably sound nuts..
Almsn mucho soneroso.
Hand it to Irv. He made us who we arent.
