Default What will remove wax residue

Had my car into the dealer a while back and they decided to be helpful and washed and waxed my car.

Now I have the freakin white residue on my door trim.

What is the best way to get it cleaned off?

Eagle One 'Nano Wax' spray works great to remove residue and it's clear just like ICE except at 1/2 the price. Advance Auto Parts sells it for around $5.00 a bottle.

For a cheap way use Kerosene, it works great on tar as well, and won't strip the wax finish off of the car. After you clean it off, just rewash the car or use a dry towel to get the oily residue off the car. I'm 50 and have been using this method since I started to drive, learned it from my dad.

On the Avalanche forums I used to inhabit, which as most know have tons of plastic cladding, rumor
had it that ... peanut butter ... worked amazing to pull wax out of that sort of black plastic.

I never tried it myself, but it might be worth a shot on the cheap...

Get some "smooth" peanut butter... Add some vinegar (stripping agent) and sloth it on, wait a bit, wipe off... Voila, back to black without using any abrasives, or acids on your car.

Eraser. Do not use Dish Detergent, it'll strip your wax.

Penut butter works but it's a little bit messy compared to the pencil eraser.
