Default C&L Trueflow Street No Tune Intake system

Has anyone used this CAI? It says you need no tune with the insert yet still produces 17-20 HP and throws no code.

Default RE: C&L Trueflow Street No Tune Intake system

I've been running this intake (with the no-tune insert) since May07... no problems whatsoever. I immediately noticed the difference from stock as it flows 60% more air volume. The no-tune insert "conditions" the metered air to make the PCM happy. In 13 months, never thrown a code. With the increased airflow, you will notice more volume (sound) out of your aftermarket exhaust (if you've swapped out axlebacks). I've changed it back to stock (3 times) for warranty service, and there is a definite difference in power and sound. I'm getting ready to go the tune route, so I'll I have to do is pull the insert when I reflash. I've got an AT, so going to tighten up the shift points, eliminate the throttle-lag, and tune for a few more HP. BTW, I notched the MAF bracket (horseshoe shape) so I'll I have to do is back the driver's side front valve cover bolt off enough to slide the notch bracket under and re-tighten.
