Default One more ? on the Tri Ax

I had the Steeda shifter installed by Dallas Mustang and it is not right. They told me not to complain to them, I should complain to Steeda. Now I see Casper the "Auto God" has the answer. Is there anybody in the Dallas area that has installed or had it installed and it works correctly? I have CASH!

Did Dallas Mustang give you your stock parts back, and do you have the aluminum pieces Casper was talking about?

Also, have you talked to Lone Star Performance yet? They might be able to help you out, and I am sure they would love to take away a DM customer

They are at 3601 Forest Lane in Garland. lonestarperformance.com

ok, if you were having my problem, i just got off the phone with steeda and he say "You need to loosen the lock nut and have it JUST touching the washer. It is located on the shiftrod that goes to the shifting mechanism."

Damn. Im gonna get one of these installed by my dealer in a few days. After hearing all this from you guys, Im expecting to all but hate this thing. I just know it wont be right the first time. And Im sure they have never put one of these in before to boot. [sigh] All I can do is tell em to follow the directions and give em that article in 5.0 Mustangs and Super Fords that gives some good tips. I hope this crapper aint a big waste of time and money.

Oh, in my younger days, I would have in a heartbeat! But Im 55 now, and goin in for cataract surgery today. You really need a lift to install these things, and my days of crawlin under s**t are over. Besides, Ive had so much trouble with the Shaker 500 that Ill get a good deal on the install! The dealer is really tryin to do me right now.
